Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Ahmedabad

Arrive at Ahmedabad airport, You will be received by our office representative and he will escort you to your hotel and help you in check in. Afternoon Visit city, Ahmedabad held the title as the Manchester of India in its heyday with more than 100 large textile mills. Located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, Ahmedabad originally was a settlement ruled by a Bhil Ashaval when it was known as Ashaval or Ashapalli. Even today there is a tiny area in Astodia area in Ahmedabad that bears the name Ashaval no tekro near Astodia darwaja. The city was subsequently conquered by Karandev I of the Solanki Dynasty ruling in Patan and he modelled the gates of Ahmedabad after those in Patan. There is teen darwaja in Ahmedabad as well. Day 2Ahmedabad - Patan - Modhera - Dasada

Morning after breakfast check out from your hotel and drive to Dasada via Patan and Modhera. Patan has a lot of historical value and has been a part of the research of archaeologists in the past. Just as it has temples, it also has Dargah and Jain temples. Patan is a spiritual city and believes in the power of the almighty. Later in evening, transfer to hotel in Dasada.. Day 3Dasada - Bhuj

Morning After breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Dasada, It is famous for Asiatic, a wild ass that does not live anywhere else in Indian lowlands. Spanning an area of about 4950 sq ft, it is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in India. This sanctuary comprises of a wide range of habitat from arid grasslands, saline desert plains, rocky and thorn scrub to lakes and marshes. Afternoon drive to Bhuj. Day 4Bhuj

Day 5Bhuj - Gondal

Morning After breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Gondal. Arrive at Gondal & transfer to hotel. The city is famous for its craft heritage and bird watching. The most popular place to visit in Gondal is the Naulakha Palace, which is a perfect example of exquisite stone carvings and stunning balconies or jharokhas with an authentic spiral staircase. There stands a huge chandelier lit hall that has antique mirrors and wooden furniture coated with gold paint. Visit the Orchard Palace, located in a huge complex of lawns, gardens and fruit orchards. Day 6Gondal – Sasangir

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Sasangir. Arrive at Sasangir & transfer to hotel. Sasangir is famous for Gir Wildlife Sanctuary which is the sole home for Asiatic lions. Among the other commonly spotted animals are included the Indian deer, sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, bear, long tailed langur and chowsingha. Day 7Sasangir - Diu

It was the capital of a small princely state founded by Shahji, a Gohel Rajput who belonged to the same clan as the Maharaja of Bhavnagar. Palitana is one of Jainism's holiest pilgrimage sites and gateway to the Shatrunjaya hill. Besides being a pilgrimage centre, Paliatana is also knowm for the horse-breeding. Day 10Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad

Morning drive to Ahmedabad and transfer to hotel. Day free to relax. The stay will be overnight at hotel in Ahmedabad.

Day 11Ahmedabad - Chennai by flight

After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to airport to board flight for Chennai.

Arrive at Chennai and drive to Mahabalipuram visiting Kanchipuram enroute,
Kanchipuram (64 kms from Chennai (Madras)) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. The stay will be overnight at Mahabalipuram.

Day 12Mahabalipuram

Morning visit Mahabalipuram, visit the shore temple and the rock- cut murals that adorn the caves here. The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Day 13 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry by Road
